QUEST FOR GOLD ATHLETE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

2017-18 QUEST FOR GOLD OAAP SELECTION CRITERIA


The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport is currently reviewing its Quest for Gold Ontario Athlete Assistance Program for the 2017-18 season. The attached document is a “DRAFT” version of the Selection Criteria that will be used by Freestyle Ontario for the ranking of athletes for the 2017-18 Quest for Gold – Ontario Athlete Assistance Program, pending the re-launch of the program by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.  Deadlines and the quantity of available Ontario Cards is subject to Ministry approval, however once published, the Freestyle Ontario selection methodology will not be altered.

2016/17 QUEST FOR GOLD SELECTION CRITERIA

UPDATED: November 1, 2016 - Final Quest for Gold Selection Criteria Now Available

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport has now released its final Quest for Gold Selection Criteria. The final version of the Freestyle Ontario and Ministry Selection Criteria is available at the below link. The only changes from the August 26th draft are as follows:

  • Page 1 - removal of the word “Draft”
  • Page 12 - due date for Freestyle Ontario to publish its draft list of nominated athletes changed to January 19th, 2017
  • Page 13 and 14 - due date for the Athletes Notice of Appeal changed to January 30th, 2017

The changes to the above dates were made to align with the Ministry’s desired schedule for the program, and were made at the direction of the Ministry.

This criteria should be considered final. The August 26th draft will remain on this website for reference purposes only.
